February 2022 Update

Western Campus Recreation will be lifting reservation requirements for most Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) and Thompson Recreation Athletic Centre (TRAC) programming as of Monday, February 21.

Following Western’s safe return to campus, masks must continue to be worn at all times within the WSRC. Students will continue to swipe their Western OneCard upon entry to verify vaccination status before scanning into the facility.

WSRC REGULAR HOURS (WITH ACCESS TO ALL FITNESS AREAS)

Lockers are for day use only. Please remove your locks when you leave after working out.

*please note there will be adjusted Reading Week hours

Reservations will be removed for the following programs: working out in the fitness and atrium areas, drop-in sports (badminton, basketball and volleyball), lane swimming, and TRAC student jogging/skating (see full facility offering schedules below). Reservations will continue for squash court bookings and can be made 24 hours in advance at shop.westernmustangs.ca.

Intramural Sports and Recreational Clubs will resume after Reading Week. Program Coordinators will be in direct contact with participants with further details.

Live Digital Fitness Classes will continue until the end of February, at which time we anticipate in-person fitness will resume.
